Photography Resolutions for 2018

This website I got to read about what this one photographer wanted to see themselves do in the New Year, which was a bunch of photography resolutions. They also uploaded really gorgeous photos he took during the year.

My favorite goal was Number 1 which was stop hiding behind self doubt. I learned that  you will never be 100% confident in what you put out in the world but you need to accept that you know yourself better and f you love it then you shouldn't care what other people think about it.

a) I chose this photo because I love how simple it is with only the mountains and the clouds, I think they add very subtle dimension and it's really gorgeous.

b)I think this photo follows the rule of lines because the lines of the road direct the photo towards the middle and to the end of the picture.

c) The photographer is Jenna Martin

The Oldest Living Things in The World

A photographer spent years and years researching and documenting and taking photos of the long living things on earth. They worked with biologists and researchers and traveled the world to take the most amazing photos of 2000 plus living organisms.

a) I picked this photo because the bright turquoise and the Icy mountains in the back drew my attention. This picture has so much characterization and gives off a really bold and relaxing vibe with it.

b) This photos uses creating depth because the mountains are in layers. Theres the really close dark one then the white one which is a little farther back, and then the one covered by all the clouds in the very back.

c) The photographer is Rachel Sussman

Photos Everyone Should Know How to Make

This website was talking about different types of photos every photographer should know how to make due to editing the photo. The photographer described how to edit each photo like they did and how and when they could use it.

a) I chose this photograph because I really like how the pink pops against the dark shades of blue. I also thought the reflection in the water from the trees was really pretty and ghostly looking, which is a really cool effect.

b) I think this photo creates depth by the way the pink trees range from different shades as the path goes down and how the middle of the river is a very dark color.

c) The photographer is Jeff Meyer

Projector Brought Into the Forest

A couple of phtographers went out to a forest and spent 6 weeks illuminating various things by using a projector. They took several photos and showed videos on how the set it up and videos on the outcome of everything.

a) I picked this photo because I love how the orange really brings pops out because the rest of the photo is very dark, it kind of looks like the tree is on fire, which is a really cool effect.

b) I think this photos shows the rule of framing. The darkness of the sky, leaves and tree surrounds the small, scattered amongst the leaves which is framing the orange details.

c) the photographer is Tarek Mawad and animator is Friedrich Van Schoor
